Downtown dwellers rejoice! Finally a place nearby where you can shop for those much needed tees and tanks without driving across town, or giving up an arm and a leg. Long Beach-based Outfitters has opened a new men's clothing store on the corner of 8th and Spring Streets across from Fashion District favorite, iSquared. The urban fashion retailer carries lines such as Obey, RVCA, DGK, Neff, Supra, Converse, and Creative Recreation. The newly renovated space offers everything from tanks and tees, to jackets and work pants, as well as select men's accessories. Tanks and tees start at only $15!

Outfitters has a selection of snapbacks from your favorite teams and brands. We spotted some of our personal favorites, Lakers and Kings!

Outfitters also has an extensive selection of T-shirts and a smaller, yet well stocked, selection of shoes. We spotted Converse, Supra, and Van's in various colors.

We're not exactly sure who Leon is, or what the story behind Outfitter's welcome sign is, but we thought it was was pretty cool. Leon must have been one hip dude...

WGSN Denim Trend Report

WGSN recently put out a free report on the upcoming denim trends inspired by "unearthed denim relics and the American Deep South." According to WGSN, we can look forward to very relaxed fits and worn in styles, with a bit of an androgynous look. What do you guys think of the rugged and worn denim look?

The trend is very much inspired by a vintage-America, even overalls are making a comeback in baggy, loose-leg styles and with classic detailing.

Shredded, patch repair, and stitch repair detailing are also outlined in the trend report. The rugged detailing falls in line with the high texture, worn-in look. It also adds to the overall DIY vibe we get from this trend.

The pattern and floral trends from spring have clearly translated to denim in handkerchief ecru/indigo patterns and faded and/or over-dyed florals.

The report also mentions pre-war pockets, traditional cinches, and aged leather looks. You can download a full copy of the report here.

Raw Bites Happy Food

We tried the faux tuna rolls made from cashews and sunflower seeds.
We highly recommend it!
Sugar-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, raw food for everyone, is the concept behind Julie Titus' Raw Bites Happy Food. Julie believes raw food can not only be nutritious but also delicious, and most importantly she believes healthy food should be affordable.

"I make raw food for normal people, with normal palates, and normal budgets. No one will eat raw food if it doesn't taste amazing or if they cannot afford the plate. My goal is to usher a revolutionary approach to raw food that demystifies the culinary experience at all income levels," says Julie.

And she stays true to her mantra. Raw Bites offers small plates starting at $6 and chocolate truffles are only $5. Her dishes really are amazing! We tried the faux tuna rolls and couldn't stop eating. As greasy-food-indulging meat lovers, we were quite impressed with how much flavor was packed into each bite, and how filling all those nuts and veggies were.

Even more impressive, Julie is a self-taught chef! She began experimenting with raw food out of curiosity for the raw lifestyle and quickly developed a passion for raw food, that eventually turned into Raw Bites. Though she currently only offers catering and delivery (11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a $25 minimum), her private kitchen opens to the public for Artwalk and special events. Next Saturday, June 2, Raw Bites will be hosting a closing reception for Hunter S. Thompson Pop Art. Stop by to check out the exhibit and try some beer and truffle pairings.

Julie also makes delicious raw chocolate truffles. Our personal favorite is the Spicy Mexican Cacao, but flavors include German Cacao, Hazelnut Espresso, Chai Tea, Lavender Lime, and Peanut Buttercup. You can see the full menu here.

Not only does Chef Julie want to feed you yummy, healthy food, she also wants to be your hub for everything healthy and Eco-friendly, starting with your beauty products. Raw Bites lip balm is made with essential oils for smooth, moisturized lips.

Raw Bites lip balm comes in 3 different scents and is only $5 per pot!
